Through a career at as a research pharmacist, manufacturing and marketing executive in the pharmaceutical industry in both in United States and overseas, I continued to harbor my dream and worked to develop the product that would make it real.

There is an alarming increase in the number of women who become ill because of smoking. In 1985, lung cancer overtook breast cancer as the leading cancer killer among women. Yet many women keep on smoking. This is an example of the need for strong commitment. It is easier to have periodic breast cancer check-ups than to get rid of an addiction. Women need the help BRAVO can provide. And even the lucky ones who don’t contract disease are apt to lose their looks to smoking. Let me be totally candid. Like thousands of other smokers who have succeeded, if you want to quit strongly enough, you can quit cold turkey. Motivation is the key. Not just a casual attempt but a total unyielding will to stop smoking. Ask your friends who have quit smoking when their doctors said: "Stop smoking or update your will." Many needed no further persuasion. They just stopped, with no crutches, no patches or pills. Your motivation will determine how long it will take you to quit.

One Of These Three Methods Is For You

Pick the next special day on your personal calendar to start as soon as possible, a birthday, holiday, anniversary. Then do it!

1. Quit Cold Turkey. This is the most courageous and uncomfortable way to discard the smoking habit. Get rid of all your tobacco cigarettes, matches, lighters and ash trays, If you absolutely need a smoke, go outside and smoke one BRAVO to satisfy your craving.

2. BRAVO Alone Method. Destroy all tobacco cigarettes. You will smoke only BRAVO. Keep a record of your individual smokes. If during this second day you have not automatically reduced your smoking, decide on a target for a smaller number of smokes on the third day. Set your own pace for quitting. The important thing is that you continue to reduce the number of smokes you consume.

Many smokers quit successfully after using one or two cartons. You are on your way to a new sense of well being. A feeling that may have left you years ago.

If you are a very heavy smoker, it may take you more time to quit. On the other hand the heavy smoker is the first to feel improved when he switches to BRAVO alone. He or she has more to gain and knows it.

3. Tapering Off Method. Each day you alternate BRAVO with a tobacco cigarette. To make the method even more effective, I urge you to change your own brand. Pick one you don't like. Now you have two new tastes to cope with rather than one you have been used to. Keep a diary, record and reduce the percentage of tobacco cigarettes you are using until you are smoking only BRAVO. Then by the day you have target, you will have quit smoking entirely. And, you are only human. There may be a time when you absolutely want to have a smoke-be smart, make it a BRAVO so you won't get hooked again.

  1. Keep a diary of your smoking pattern. Progress will keep your mind on the goal and make it reachable.

Nature Has Been My Ally

I discovered years ago that to survive merely for fun and frolic would be an empty existence. By age 35, 1 was fortunate to have fulfilled my own sense of achievement, having created and developed other successful pharmaceutical products. What next?

There was the dream that I had followed which involved leaving a beneficial legacy to mankind.

As a smoker of a pack and a half of cigarettes, like so many of my friends and business associates, fully aware, (as a health professional) the harm this pleasurable (?) addiction played in our lifestyle, I began to research a workable solution to the problem of smoking addiction or habituation. I experimented with a number of natural substances. After many failures, I recognized that the solution was not in man made science but in nature itself.

I could "cure" and convert garden lettuce leaves into a smoking product that people could accept. At first I saw it as an alternative to tobacco, another brand that people could come to enjoy and go on smoking for years. But the appalling consequences of smoking haunted me and led to the decision to formulate and market the product as the most effective way of giving up smoking altogether.

It took some time for me to come to accept nature as my divine ally. Eventually, my discovery duplicated a process found in nature.
