My husband Matt quit smoking back in 2002 with Bravo cigarettes and willpower partially because of my asthma and he was ready to quit. Last year, after some excess stress in our lives and the fact many of his customers smoke, he started up with one or two cigarettes a day. He wants to try to quit completely again and asked me to order some more for him. I do not smoke. I bought a carton of these about a year & a half ago, tried to quit by alternating between them and my own brand, and failed. In January of 2007, I quit cold turkey and used the Bravo smokes only at my weakest moments, basically as a placebo, until the worst urges passed. I have given away several packs and shared them with numerous ex-smoker friends at happy hours (one of the hardest times to avoid smoking). I have kept the others for moments of stress and for any other times I feel drawn back to my old ways. I just gave away my last full pack and wanted to replenish my supply. Bravos have been a life saver for me. After 35 years of smoking and trying every other method of quitting, I've finally done it. Dear Dr. Torigian,

Pursuant to our telephone conversation last week (Which I enjoyed very immensely) I’m writing to you to explain why I returned fifteen of the eighteen BRAVO packs, which I had ordered in the Heavy Smoker’s Survival Kit. I had been smoking approximately one pack of Marlboro (regular) for many years and assumed that quitting would take some time. When th4e BRAVOI smokes arrived I still had about a half a pack of Marlboro which I was reluctant to discard, so I began by alternating them with the Bravos. After this initial start, I stopped lighting up out of sheer habit or boredom, and only smoked when I felt a real urge to do so, e.g. on waking, before retiring and after a meal. By the time I was on my third pack of Bravos I realized that, despite the fact that I did enjoy these occasional smokes, they were no longer a necessity, so to speak, and that was when I decided to return the unused packs.

Believe me Dr. Torigian; I myself was amazed at how simple the weaning off process turned out to be. Each of my children, (all non-smokers) were overjoyed to learn that I had quit, and they all commented when they visited me that the place no longer smelled terrible. Apparently, in spite of ionizers, and air purifiers my house reeked, but as a smoker I never noticed it. In fact for years I know that I had a very poor sense of smell, but didn’t realize that it had been impaired by my smoking. Now I realize that was the cause, since it has become much keener lately, as has my sense of taste! Additionally I no longer cough and choke like a gassing victim and I’m saving money to boot, all thanks to you.

I know that any smoker who really wants to break the habit will be able to do so by switching to Bravos. It may not be easy for everyone as it was for me, but success is definitely available to all with this method.

I wish to thank you for the Two Bravo packs you sent me. I tried one and it was really an improvement over those I originally used. I sealed the rest and put them in the freezer so when a smoking friend visits me, I can enjoy one and get my friend to try them also.

I think the best format would be to answer the most common questions asked by smokers who are curious if it will work. Let me know those and I'll give you some really good answers. You may find it interesting to know that I really didn't want to give up, so my succeeding in quitting was something of a miracle. This was the third attempt, but the first that REALLY feels that I'm truly done with the nicotine. What kept me going was being able to "cheat" occasionally in the first month or so by "sneaking" a Bravo without worrying about the nicotine habit kicking in again. We receive many compliments on success of BRAVO from people like yourself. No product is perfect and one expects to hear more complaints than compliments. We are encouraged knowing that there are few objections from those who have used BRAVO. More than 7 million packs of BRAVO have been sold to date. The number of complaints is less than 50 and not more than a few dozen cartons have ever been returned.

BRAVO's success is not dependent on counseling, unrealistically developed game-like programs for quitting. Those 'Programs" cause the smoker to dwell on their "smoking habit" making quitting more difficult because the smoker is constantly reminded of cigarettes. With BRAVO, there is no timetable. One quits without trying. Quitting is automatic. It happens all by itself-at the pace that fits the smokers need and so they quit at their own pace.
